My Favorite Recipes

Juicing is kinda like cooking in that you can often juice many different combinations of fruits and vegetables, but you will always have those favorites that always seem to hit the spot.  I'll share with you some of my favorite recipes and would love to hear what yours are.

I'm a firm believer that recipes should be simple to follow and have as few ingredients as possible to maximize health and the nutritional benefits of juicing, while minimizing the cost and preparation time.  That is why I like to focus on a few key ingredients that are cheap and are always laying around my house.

Cucumber and Pear!

  • 2 small or one large cucumber
  • 1 or 2 pears (depends on size)

This is a light and refreshing drink that tastes great and reminds me of summer.  It is also extremely simple to make with only two ingredients!!!

Carrot and Greens

  • 4 large carrots
  • 5 large stalks of celery
  • 4 stalks of kale
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 head of romaine lettuce

Green juice is really big now because of it's health benefits as well as its great taste.  Feel free to add an apple or some fresh squeezed lemon juice to sweeten the juice up if you want!

Celery and Apples!

  • 5 apples
  • 3 stalks of celery

This is basically a healthy apple juice, without the loaded sugar and chemicals of store boat juice.  The added celery adds a nice flavor to the drink and of course extra nutrients!  I love to have this at night or with a meal.

Carrot Cake Juice

  • 4 peeled carrots
  • 1 small peeled knob of ginger
  • 2 navel oranges
  • ground cinnamon

This is a great (and healthy) dessert drink.  I love carrot cake, but alas it doesn't agree with my waistline.  So why not do the next best thing, and drink a healthy version!  Add the cinnamon on top of juice at the end and enjoy!

Apple, Lemon, Kale and Beets!!!

  • 1 green apple
  • 2 lemons
  • 6-8 Kale leaves
  • 1 medium or 2 small beets

This simple to prepare drink always hits the spot when I want something that is both tasty and healthy.  Most of these ingredients I always have laying around, so never hard to just throw in the juicer and make this delicious drink.

Green Lemonade

  • 4 Kale Leaves
  • 2 apples
  • 1 head of romaine lettuce
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 inch piece of ginger

Another favorite of mine because it is super easy to make and tastes great.  The ginger really adds a nice kick to the drink, but feel free to leave out if it is too much or if you don't have any ginger laying around!

Citrus C-Breeze

  • 1 lime
  • 1 Rube Red grapefruit
  • 3 Navel organes
  • 1 lemon

I love having this for breakfast some mornings or especially if I feel a cold coming on.  It is a great way to consume a ton of VItamin C.  This is simple and easy to make and a great alternative to sugar loaded, store-bought orange juice.

I hope you enjoyed these recipes and maybe even tried some out for yourself.  Share below your favorite recipes.  I'm always trying new combinations of fruits and vegetables.
