One of the easiest ways to consume your daily vegetables is by juicing them into a delicious beverage. Whether you're looking to lose weight or just improve your health, juicing vegetables is one of the best ways to achieve your goals.
As much as I love the taste of vegetables, it is often not the best tasting to just drink vegetable juice. I have added a few fruits here and there which are also very healthy and make the drink more palatable. Feel free to experiment as you see fit!
Below are some of my favorite juicing recipes. Notice how simple and easy they are. Juicing doesn't need to be complicated or time consuming, in fact it should be the opposite. Feel free to comment and share with me your favorite vegetable juice recipes.
Watercress and Spinach
- 1 apple
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1 handful of watercress
- 3 sprigs of parsley
This is a great healthy green juice!
Kale and Asparagus
- 1/2 cup of spinach
- 4 stalks of asparagus
- 2 oranges
- 3 Kale leaves
I love me some asparagus, and this is a great way to have it (even though I also love eating it).
Cabbage, Broccoli and Cauliflower
- 1/4 head of cabbage
- 1/4 head of cauliflower
- 1 stalk of broccoli
- 1/2 lemon
- 2 kale leaves
- 2 apples
This may sound like an odd combination, but trust me when I say it tastes great! Imagine all the nutrients packed into this drink!
Tomato, Carrot and Celery
- 2 tomatoes
- 3 carrots
- 2-3 celery stalks
Three simple ingredients I normally always have laying around that make a delicious beverage when juiced together.
- 5-6 long carrots
Who doesn't love carrot juice? The sweetness of the carrot helps make this carotene packed drink easy to drink!
- 4 medium sized tomatoes
This is another light refreshing drink. I know technically tomatoes are a fruit but they are commonly known and used as a vegetable! Either way, this is a great and healthy drink
